Transgender, Gender Variant, and Intersex (TGI) Justice Project

The TGI Justice Project works mainly with prisoners in CA; they work on alternative sentencing, writing advocacy letters trying to help transgender prisoners get access to hormones, finding attorneys and preparing cases for attorneys. Transformative Justice Law Project of Illinois

Provides legal services to transgender and gender non-conforming people targeted by the criminal legal system; will send resources and provides trainings to outside agencies.

The Network/La RED Ending Abuse in Lesbian, Bisexual Women's and Transgender Communities

Services include confidential hotline, emergency shelter, advocacy, and free support groups for lesbians, bisexual women, and transgender folks fleeing domestic violence.

Prison Book Program

Does not send books to CA, MA, MD, MI, PA, KY, LA, NV or TX.  Offers a free 6-page National Prisoner Resource List and 40-page “We the People” legal primer. Allows two book shipments per year.  Takes 3 to 6 months.
