California voters; VOTE NO on prop 9

CALIFORNIA VOTERS: read prop 9 carefully. It speaks to restricting any kind of early release for prisoners, as an amendment to the constitution. THIS LAW IS UNNECESSARY AND DANGEROUS!
not to mention inconceivably expensive!!!

There are already laws on the books that speak to victims rights. Victims are already notified and have a chance to speak when perpetrators come up for parole. Prison overcrowding is already a HUGE safety and health concern in prisons. Right now, California prisons have virtually no forms of rehabilitation, and now prisoners can't even use their gynasiums because they have to house people there. This only solidifies the problem and forces the government to build more and more prisons because we can't let anybody out before their sentencing term, for any reason. Meanwhile, sentencing terms are just getting longer and longer, and with mandatory sentencing and the three-strikes law, we are sending more and more Californians to prison for longer and longer terms. Why do we need to enforce a failing system into our constitution? We need to change the system instead!!!

STOP PRISON EXPANSION!

STOP BUILDING PRISONS!

LET PEOPLE OUT OF PRISONS!

NO ON PROP 9!
