Jeffrey Luers was originally sentenced to 22 years and 8 months for the burning of three SUV's in Eugene, Oregon to make a statement about global warming. Despite the fact that this action hurt no one Jeff was sent to prison for a sentence considerably longer than those convicted of murder, kidnapping and rape in Oregon state.

While in prison Jeff has remained dedicated to the environmental movement and continues to contribute with his writings and was even the keynote speaker at the 2005 Environmental Law Conference in Eugene, Oregon -via phone.

In 2007 Jeff won his appeal and his sentence was reduced to 10 years. He is scheduled to be released this December.

This is the final SF benefit for Jeff to raise funds to help him as
he transitions back to life on the outside. Come show your support!
