Resources: North Carolina

PARC corresponds with and mails a directory of these resources to prisoners, their friends and family members. We are often the first point of contact for people to connect with prisoners' rights organizations, community organizations, prison literature and arts projects, family and visiting resources, health care and legal resources, parole and pre-release resources, and the prison abolition movement.

NCPLS provides legal assistance to people in state prison and county jails ranging from advice about prisoner’s legal rights, inadequate medical care, and free speech issues to representation in court around such issues. They do not provide information on legal topics outside post-conviction or civil rights issues. The organization is divided into three teams: Post-Conviction, Civil, and Jail Support Services. Serves people in North Carolina only.
